Verification guide
How verification works on FindLucid.com
· findlucid
Verification on FindLucid.com in three free steps: birthday entry, a live selfie with a random gesture, and human review. What Verified means, and what it does not mean.
Real people only. Every selfie checked by a human.
How it works
Verification on FindLucid.com takes three steps, and it is free.
First, you enter your birthday. FindLucid.com is for adults, 18 and over.
Second, you take a live selfie inside the app and copy a random gesture we show you on screen. It has to be live, taken in the moment. You cannot upload an old photo, and you cannot use someone else's picture. The gesture is what makes it a check on a real, present person instead of a check on a file.
Third, a person on our team reviews your selfie. No profile appears in discovery until a human has looked at it. Our reviewers check that the selfie shows a live person who appears to be an adult.
That is the whole process. No government ID is required to verify.
What Verified means
Verified means the member completed a live selfie check and a member of our team reviewed that selfie before the profile appeared in discovery.
What Verified does not mean
Your date of birth is entered by you. We do not require government ID to verify, and verification is not an identity check, an age certification, or a background check. It does not certify that any profile detail is accurate.
So read a Verified badge for exactly what it is: a real person showed up live, and a human on our team checked the selfie. That is a strong start, and it is the start every member here has to make. It is not a promise about anyone's character, and you should still use the same judgment you would use anywhere: meet in public, tell someone where you are going, and use the safety tools in the app. Date safety plans, check-ins, and the safety button are free for every member.
Why we do it this way
Most dating apps let anyone in with an email address and a photo pulled from anywhere. We would rather be smaller and real. A live selfie, a random gesture, and a human review will not catch everything, and we will not pretend otherwise. But it keeps the room full of people who actually showed up, and that is the only kind of room worth meeting anyone in.
