Our position

Lucid is an 18-plus dating app. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account, and we remove accounts we find to belong to minors. We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) in any form: sexual content involving minors, grooming, sextortion of minors, and the sharing of child sexual abuse material (CSAM).

Child safety contact

Reports about child safety go directly to our trust and safety review, ahead of every other queue. Email support@findlucid.com with the subject line "Child safety", or use the in-app report button on any profile, photo, or message. Reports are reviewed by a human within 24 hours.

What we do

• Age gate at signup. Date of birth is required and accounts must be 18-plus. Suspected underage accounts are suspended pending review.
• Photo verification. Profiles are manually reviewed before they appear in discovery, which reduces fake and impersonator accounts, the most common vector for grooming. No review catches everything, so please report anything suspicious.
• Report and block everywhere. Every profile, photo, and chat has a report button and one-tap blocking. Valid reports of objectionable content lead to action within 24 hours.
• CSAM reporting. Known or suspected child sexual abuse material is reported to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children's CyberTipline, as required by US federal law, and the account is permanently banned.
• Hash matching. We are implementing hash-matching against known CSAM databases for uploaded photos so known abusive images are blocked at upload.
• Law enforcement. We cooperate with law enforcement on child-safety matters and preserve evidence as required by law.
