1. Who can use Lucid
Lucid is strictly 18+. By creating an account or joining the waitlist you confirm you are at least 18 years old and legally able to enter this agreement. You must provide your real date of birth at signup; our systems reject anyone under 18, and accounts found to be underage are removed. You can hide your displayed age from other users in Settings, but the 18+ requirement always applies.
2. Your account
You sign in with a magic link sent to your email — there are no passwords to remember or leak. Keep access to your email secure; you are responsible for activity under your account. Creating your account records your acceptance of these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
3. Be real — and what verification means
Lucid is built on honest profiles. You agree to be who you say you are, to keep your stated intent current, and not to impersonate anyone. 'Verified' on Lucid today means our team reviewed the profile before it appeared in discovery — it is a manual review, not an automated or government-ID check. We verify adulthood, not the accuracy of every profile detail, and we cannot promise every profile is exactly as represented.
4. Be decent
No harassment, hate, threats, or non-consensual content. No spam, scams, or commercial solicitation. No sexual content involving anyone under 18, ever. We may warn, suspend, ban, or delete any account that breaks these rules or that we believe threatens the safety of our community — at our sole discretion, with or without notice. Deleted accounts lose their profile, matches, and messages permanently.
5. Content you share
You keep ownership of what you post. You give Lucid a limited license to display it inside the app so the service works.
6. Referrals and bonuses
Verified members get a personal referral link in Settings. When someone creates their profile through your link, you both automatically receive one week of Plus — no approval needed. If you already have Plus, the free week is added to the end of your membership (paid members bank the time and it applies when the subscription ends). Each member can earn up to 10 referral rewards in any 5-year period. New accounts verified with a government ID that has never been used on Lucid before automatically receive 72 hours of Plus. We may change or end these promotions at any time; rewards already granted are honored.
7. Non-discrimination
Lucid does not discriminate. We provide the service without regard to race, color, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, age (subject to the 18+ requirement), disability, religion, or any other characteristic protected by law. This applies to membership, features, support, and any hiring we do.
8. The service as-is
Lucid is provided as-is while we build it. We work to keep it safe and running, but we can't promise uninterrupted service or that every profile is exactly as represented.
9. Changes
We may update these terms as Lucid grows. Material changes will be posted here before they take effect.
