Launch celebration for Robin Maril's A Queer Guide to Saving American Democracy, which situates the attacks on LGBTQ rights within a larger democratic crisis and argues that the denigration of queer and transgender lives is a symptom of the broader degradation of American democracy. Maril, a constitutional law professor, former Human Rights Campaign legal staffer, and host of the podcast of the same name, is joined by Brooke Sopelsa, founding editorial director of NBC Out. Copies available for purchase, with a signing after the event. All are welcome to attend, with or without a donation.
18+ only.
