Discover shows you verified people who match your preferences. Everyone you see has completed verification, so your profile stays hidden until your own verification is done too.

Free members get 15 likes per rolling 24 hours. When two people like each other, that is a match and you can start messaging. Plus and Founding members get unlimited likes and can see who liked them.

The map shows nearby members as pins in your area. Tap a pin to preview a profile, send a like, or report it.

Your pin shows your approximate area, never your exact address. You set your location and visibility radius in Profile settings. Turn on ghost mode (Plus) to hide your pin while you keep browsing.

Group Chat is a community space that everyone can read. Only Plus members, Founding members, and the owner can post messages there.

Posts are end-to-end encrypted: each poster locks their messages on their own device before sending, so only people reading the chat can read them. Not even Lucid can. Messages sent before encryption was added are labeled Not encrypted.

Keep it respectful: no harassment, no spam, and no explicit content in the main feed. Breaking the rules can get your account restricted.

To start a private conversation, send a chat invite from someone's profile. The chat opens only when they accept, so nobody can message you without your OK.

You can see the invites you sent and received in the Chat section, and accept or decline any invite. Messaging is unlimited on every plan.

Every private 1:1 chat is end-to-end encrypted. Your messages are locked on your device before they are sent, and only you and the person you are talking to can read them. Not even Lucid can read your private messages: not the owner, not the support team, nobody with access to our servers.

Your encryption keys are created on your device and never leave it. Tap the lock icon in any chat to see the safety number for that conversation; compare it with the other person in person or on a trusted call to be sure nobody is intercepting your chat. If their key changes, you will see a clear notice in the thread.

Group chat is end-to-end encrypted too. Every poster has their own sender key on their device; posts are locked with it before sending, and only devices holding that key can read them. If a member is removed, everyone posting gets fresh keys automatically, and you will see a notice in the thread.

Two honest notes. First, posts from before encryption was added are labeled Not encrypted and were stored in plain text. Second, encryption hides what was said, not the fact it was said: Lucid still knows who posted and when.

Fill out your profile with your basics, what you are looking for, and anything that matters to you, like sober badges. Honest, complete profiles get more matches.

You can also set your age range, visibility radius, and who you want to see in discovery. Your profile is invisible in discovery until verification is complete.

Add photos from your Profile page. We accept JPEG, PNG, and WebP files.

Every upload is checked by reading the file's actual format, not just its name, so files that are not real images are rejected. Use recent, clear photos that look like you.

Open Settings and switch between US and Metric units. Distances show in miles or kilometers, and height and weight follow the same setting.

Your stored values stay the same; only the display changes.

Ghost mode is a Plus feature. When it is on, your map pin is hidden while you keep browsing and matching normally. Turn it on in Profile settings.

Discreet mode is free and goes further: it hides you from discovery entirely, so new people will not find your profile. People you already matched with can still see you and message you.

Block and Report buttons are on member profiles, map popups, and 1:1 chats. Blocking is private: the other person is not told, and they can no longer see your profile, match with you, or message you.

Every report goes to a human review queue with a 24 hour response time. For anything urgent or threatening, contact local authorities first, then email us.
